Hmm, good point. She really starts to trust one of the allies later one, so I definitely need to do something to cement that he is someone she can lean on. The second new ally helps her later on. He approaches her as an ally early on, but she's distrustful at first, so I need to make sure I work that in too.

The problem is, I have a lot I need to get established, but no action to pull them through. They need to DO something, not just be something and there should be some kind of tension in each scene, which is where it gets complicated. My protagonist is trying to not draw too much attention to herself for the first part.
I'll have to sleep on it. Lots of good things come in those minutes right before one passes out.
