Noticing Newbies

Hello/Greetings/How do you do,

I go by Faith, and I am testing the literary waters and seeing if anyone is out for blood. I have been writing off and on for the majority of my life. Mostly poetry, non-published, so I thought it was time to put the foot in the sand so to speak and test the temperature of the beach. I love all things English literature and would love to write faith based advice blog like writings but until I can figure out if that is the direction that I want to go, I will stick with poetry. Feel free to offer constructive feedback, I will appreciate it. Remember I am still a newbie at this so be gentle :).
