Noticing Newbies

Hi everyone. My name is Melissa. I just joined this group today and I am very excited and lookinng forward to all that it has to offer. I have been writing for a long time but haven't had the nerve to put any of my work out there. I am also a very big reader. Mainly of true crime and psychological thrillers. I also enjoy reading books of essays and a lot of non-fiction. My writing is mainly like a memoir. It is about different parts of my life. Most people would find it hard to believe that it is not fiction. My main fear when it comes to writing is that people arent going to be interested in what I write. I would love suggestions or tips. I would also love to hear if anyone had a similar story. Basically I would just love to hear from anyone who wants to talk about writing.
