Noticing Newbies

Greetings and salutations from me to you.

I've been a member for about a week, and I'm enjoying my time here thus far. Originally, I came here to find writing prompts. Now, I'm enjoying reading others' writing and working to develop my own portfolio.

Much of what I write is fiction, especially short stories. My favorite genres to read are children's books, fantasy, and action/adventure. For me, the biggest challenge in writing is balancing character development and plot development.

Before I joined writing.com, I wrote an ambitious fanfiction about the Bleach manga series. I've also written usage articles for HubPages and proofread two children's books as a freelancer.

When I'm not here, I'm taking care of household chores, experimenting in the kitchen, and continuing to look for a full-time job.
