Movie Talk

The 100 was recommended to me for watching. At first, I wasn't interested because I thought it would be about juvenile delinquents and the havoc they cause. However, I went ahead and watched it. I have to admit, I was shocked at how much I have enjoyed it. I backtracked and listened to the Novel it was created from and noticed the screen write made significant changes. It was the first time I experienced enjoying the screen write more than the novel. I made a note to myself that if I should ever be so lucky, not to immediately dismiss screen write themes for a novel.

The changes in the t.v. series immediately made me think of the Sumerian Mythology of when "the gods" took off in their flying machines and waited for the flood to be over (Biblical flood) and returned thinking no one survived. They were surprised to find there had indeed been survivors after the catastrophe.

To my surprise the t.v. series is reminensant of this mythology. If you ever decide to watch it, keep this in the back of your mind. There may be more being said than meets the eye.
