Noticing Newbies

Hello, JC, and welcome to WDC!

Glad you found your way here. I emphasise with your start in English. I myself faired badly in English at school and actually took my last formal English class at age fifteen when I completed my O Level course. Yeah, I got a B and it was a year early, but the, B was a surprise and the year early was just to get it out of the way. I haven't taken a single class since!

But, I've learned loads informally from this site, and you can too!

From what you've said, poetry might be a good starting point to express your "weird but tasteful descriptions, imagery and scenes of the world". There's a "blog about poetry" activity going on right now that you might like to take a gander at:
