Diving in head first
Hello,

My writing interest began with a deep love for Fitzgerald. My mother would read the various works of Fitzgerald to me every night as I fell asleep. I dreamed of the roarin' twenties, and a love so great it would be worthy of writing about. Later I found solace in the works of London and Murakami slowly finding myself longing for such a profound experience.

In my awkward teen years writing became a way for me to control some very small part of my life. I could write my thoughts and views of the world where no one could judge them. I became an all powerful god in the worlds I created within my stories. Each character crafted with a higher purpose of expressing some part of me that ached to be free. Today I continue to write for a different kind of escape. I write to alleviate my mind from the repetitiveness that has become my life. I write for the same reasons most anybody writes. Fitzgerald put it best when he said "You don't write because you want to say something, your write because you have something to say."

I am a mom to two incredible boys. My oldest is two and my youngest a mere three months. My two year old seems to have an abundant source of energy. I am perpetually amazed by how smart tiny humans are. He grasps things so quickly. The hardest part of parenting has been resubmitting myself to the emotional ups and downs. Kids can go from completely content to I will devour your soul angry in a matter of seconds. Everything they feel is so pure and unfiltered as they haven't been corrupted by societal norms. I only wish anything could make me as happy as Thomas the Train makes my son.

I believe that is all I have to say for now. I look forward to exploring this site and hopefully gaining some writer friends.

May the words flow onto the paper
