Weekly Goals

I got absolutely no writing done this week at all. But, it's for pretty good reason.

I had Tuesday off of work so I could take my daughter to a doctor's appointment (2 hours away from where we live). In the morning, my father was talking with me about wanting to get my daughter a kitten. (She had been asking for a kitten for years, but my mother had always nixed the idea because we already have an adult cat.) Well, of course, I agreed. I thought a kitten would be a great idea to help everyone in the house with the depression we have all been experiencing since the loss of my mother.

So, before our doctor's appointment, my father took us to the animal shelter and we picked out a kitten. All was good, but my father wandered into the room holding all the dogs/puppies, where we fell in love with a beautiful 10-month-old Australian Shepherd/Siberian Husky puppy. (I swear my father knew all along that he was going to get a puppy that day.)

So, please welcome Louise (the puppy) and Faye (the kitten)! They have been preventing me from writing all week, but they are well worth it!
