Noticing Newbies

Hi, Robert Stuart! I'm also a disabled vet, just medically retired in August after over 12 yrs in the Army. I'm still very sad about it and miss the Army a lot!

Welcome to WdC! I believe you had asked about posting something for review. If you make a static item, folks will find it. On the top left, click Portfolio, then click Create New Item, then click Static. Most of your stuff will be a Static item... poems, short stories, whatnot. When you create it, the most important thing to remember, in my opinion, is to change from the default under Advanced. Under the blanks, you'll find, Advanced. Click that. Then the 3rd thing down, change that to Rating Requires Review! That means, if someone wants to give you a rating, they HAVE to review your work. If you DON'T change that, you'll find a some meanies who will give you all low ratings with no helpful comments. They suck.

There are a couple of places you can put stuff to ask for reviews, but I never do that, so it would take me a bit to figure out. Maybe someone else knows better. Sorry. I just write and folks just find it magically. lol
