Creative ions exist in the brain and are of two types. Let's call them positive and negative.

When quantities are balanced, you are not particularly creative, but if an unbalance should develop, an excess of one type of creative ion over the other, then an external hand to eye circuit has to be established to restore the balance.

The excess ions flow out of your brain, through your hands, and into whatever intermediate device you have chosen, such as paper, or clay, or a canvas, or a keyboard, or whatever, and then after your hands transfer the ions into the substance, they flow from there back into your brain through your eyes and ears and nerve endings.

Once the circuit is free-flowing, the creative ions can rebalance themselves and you experience that as pleasure.
