NaNo went well for me- started off slow, but picked up about midway through. It is not a complete story, and two weeks ago I had an idea that pretty much would have required that I start from scratch. I stayed with the original story line though could not completely put aside the new one. I sketched out a few scenes and made copious amount of notes. Tomorrow, I will be starting over, but not at the frenzied NaNo pace.

I've participated in NaNo for many years. I have only completed the 50k five times, but it is a helpful exercise in remembering to muzzle my inner editor.
