I love notebooks for freestyle brainstorming, jotting down brief scene ideas, etc. I almost always have a notebook on hand for just that purpose.

But for detailed organizing and long-term storage for writing, definitely digital. I just have too many notebooks all over the place to keep track of them for too long. *Wink* Though, it is fun to clean and find a notebook I haven't seen for a few months and see what ideas were going through my head then.
