I'm Byron. I've found my way here from the Daily Flash Challenge where I was fortunate to win the steampunk round sponsored by the Author's Guild. I've been here at WDC for about a year and have spent most my time writing flash for Arakun.
Now, I want to start a real project and am leaning toward a steampunk / urban fantasy / trans-dimensional world building exercise. You know...for fun. I'm thinking short stories 1500/2000 words or so. Written fast...pulp style. Series with a serial sub-point (I honestly lose the distinction between the two...basically pantser storytelling.)
I'm hope to find inspiration and guidance here. Inspiration in reading and discussing the genre. Guidance navigating between trope and cliche.
