Also, plug time, I have a writing discussion forum "Invalid Item"  where you are welcome to ask for any specific writing tips and join in the discussions already taking place about the practicalities of the writing craft. There is even a book discussion thread you can discuss your memories of reading Jules Verne and HG Wells.
