Interesting ideas here, and I am sure it will help a great many people who may struggle with names when writing. I do write fantasy (strictly so) and have never really had this struggle. The names always just seemed to comes to me, and while most are unique enough to fit the fantasy genre, they are not the ridiculously long and impossible to pronounce kind!

I do have one name, in my latest novel. He is a young prince named Araya. This name was actually taken from a six year-old little Arabic boy (the cutest thing ever), in a class I co-taught in a few years ago. Although the young prince in my story is not Arabic, the name popped into my head, as it sounds princely, and so...there you have it.
