I have never understood what they mean by 'prose' and 'literary'.

My rule is.. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, nor a paragraph unnecessary sentences.

[ in my creative writing class, after I'd read my 6 pages, one student remarked, "Not a wasted word."]

( oh.. and if you know me, you know you will never see a "yuck" tag-line in any of my work.)
