"But when it comes to writing, any distinctions that begin with an objective and external quality like size are bound to be misleading." --L. Stephen O'Neill
I won't read any books with black or indigo covers. Ain't gonna do it. Black and indigo are the signature hues of the Demon Lord Shariff-Lanx, "Manipulator of Minds and All Around Smelly Bad Dude" (those are official titles in Hell, by the way). So yeah, just sayin'...
Edit: Also, I won't read any books that have titles starting with the letter T or ending with the letter S. Those are my bad luck letters. I could have won a lifetime supply of Rice O' Roni on Wheel of Fortune once if it hadn't been for the those dang letters, T and S. Of course, this has made it really difficult for me to find out why everyone loves The Lord of the Rings so much. So it goes.
