October Novel Prep Challenge

Well, this isn't my NaNo novel for next month, just my Prep novel, so I can afford to be a bit hard on myself writing it. No readership is tougher than fantasy and sci-fi nerds. You've got to be tight to get past them.

Plus, and I don't mean to downgrade the amount of work I've put into this thing or how much I love it, this story is kind of a dry run for me in creating my own world from scratch. I need to be hard on myself to make sure everything is of the absolute highest caliber. I need to use this story, which has elements of history that can guide me, as a learning experience for crafting something where I don't have reality to fall back on.
