When an idea is first hatching...I mull on it, cultivate it, turn it over round and round trying to figure out the best angle of approach so that my muse doesn't change it from what I am seeing in my mind's eye before I can write it down.
Once I have the rough draft, I share with my girlfriend, who is a great listener for telling me what is feasible and what is fantastical and finding where I have left gaps.
Then I write it out to share with all of you hoping for feedback that critically constructive...I like it when my stories are ripped apart.
And once that round is over, I revise again and again and again until there is no more constructive criticism.
But that's just me. I'm a bit of a glutton for punishment.
