In years past, I've had this start around now, but strangely, having my "handwritten pantser" alternative ready to go seems to have blocked it out. It's like something in the back of my mind is declaring, "you can't scare me! I can just put this thing down and leave it for another time if I'm not ready to go!"
Of course, the fact that I have absolutely no idea where I'm going with that alternative plan ought to worry me, but somehow, just having the opening available to dive through is enough to keep me calm.
