I liked this Polonius . . . for what it was. But of course I don't have your experience with Stratford to compare with. I thought he did a good job with the comic elements of the role, but not as much the serious parts. And yes, Ophelia was SO powerful. Bob didn't like her, so I've been waiting (impatiently) to hear your reaction. She had me in tears. And oh, god . . . did Benedict Cumberbatch own this role! My respect for him as an actor went sky high. His interpretation of the "madness" and the rage of Hamlet were exquisite. He must be just totally wrung out after a performance. I cannot even imagine.
