I think Stratford might have made it more accessible, but this was definitely a very emotional performance. I love that they both had the same interpretation of Claudius mixing up Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern, so Gertrude had to fix it. I know it's a pretty standard interpretation, but they did it so similarly. But Stratford's Polonius blew this one out of the water; same with Laertes. I didn't feel this Laertes as much. But this Gertrude and this Ophelia (mad Ophelia) were just so powerful.
