RE: ACCEPTED STORIES
One way to not alienate contestants is to try to explain "accepted stories."

"Accepted" stories are awarded 2,000 GP this year.

Thus I opted to post this message over there but am suspending it. It is not harsh by any means. The day after the post a story rife with erotica showed up. This is a genre which the contest does and never has taken.

Thus the original post, now separate from the contest forum. And by the way it is a shame that most of the posts here are mine when this is a CLUB forum. However, I'm used to that. But I still fell sad about the none use of a really open spot to talk the talk and walk the writing walk.

Listen up as a contest judge for these EVERYONES:

Every once in awhile a few lousy, awful cheap shots spoil the seasonal theme.

Yeah, happens.
But, please don't be scared by the word acceptable. Oh, dithers.

Thus a few eg .... un-acceptable aka rejects === under this title post.

Uh, oh ... running full tilt on memory spanning back to 2006 ...

Okay, crowd. Tell all time.

I once received a really long story written by a blind person. No edits, caps all over the place. Ya know? Looking back, I never knew if the writer was male or female. Could not for the life of me jiggle characters with fluctuating names. And it was not just sci-fic-fantasy jargon those proper names. That treatise was nigh unreadable. I wrote personally of the reason for rejection.

About three, readable e's, later, a handicap on the author's part was forthwith revealed. Which I finally bought for the sake of freedom.

Now, I still look back on this story fondly. Because of the attempt to capture the city streets.

More recently, I do not like insect stories, ta hell with the Raid theme onsite. Last Christmas the one with two fleas on a dog. Have you no respect? For a Christmas entry? Sheesh.

Other than that ... Dont fear the Grim Reaper, it aint me, babe.
Writers should all be fine.

Almost 98% of entries dating back to 2006 wildly make the final cut, listing in archive & on Honor Roll, carried on this forum. ME:
