I'm actually hoping for not just examples of trilogies, but maybe an analysis of the elements in famous trilogies - story arc versus individual story plots. And you're right, it doesn't have to be a trilogy. Harry Potter was seven books and had a clearly defined story arc as well as individual plots. The question is, did the last book stand on its own as a story or was it just the conclusion of the story arc?
