Noticing Newbies

My name is Barbara, which is a terrible name, but mine all the same. In my college days I wrote voraciously, but for the past (oh my god, am I really that old?) decade I've only dreamed of putting pen to paper. I tell stories constantly, it's my drug of choice. I write in my head on the daily.
I joined WDC looking for a creative community, something severely lacking in South Alabama. I'm trying to work on writing first drafts (something I don't allow myself to do; I'm a non-stop editor which paralyzes me.) I write character, plain and simple, and struggle with plot. If any of you out there are looking for someone to spit ball ideas off of and/or are looking to inspire the uninspired please reach out.
If you're looking for someone to discuss college football, the challenges of raising a strong willed 4 year old solo, or cupcake recipes I'm also available.
I've so enjoyed the community aspect and give and take of this website for the week I've been on. I hope to explore it's full potential.
