Noticing Newbies

Hello everyone! My name is Jay, and I've been writing for a little under a year. I'm a bit of an adventurous spirit, spending most of my free time climbing up mountains, cliff diving, trail running, and just generally traveling. I never took much of an interest in writing until I had a manager at an old job tell me that all the stories I shared could make amazing novels, and that I should start a journal. Since then, most of my writing has taken off on it's own and begun to stylize as free verse, narrative, poetry, although I have also put together a few shorts. I believe my strengths come in conveying mood and atmosphere. I am currently traveling around the United States, working odd jobs to fund my living, while writing and climbing mountains; so if you respond or review me, it might take awhile for me to answer, as I go without wifi for days at a time. That said, I would love to have some experienced writers check out some of my work. Thanks!
