Hi Serj!
I'm in New Zealand, so I'm on the other side of the world from you. It's a pleasure to welcome you to Writing.com though, which is a marvellously international site.

When you mentioned creating 'alternate realities', I immediately thought of ENB Author Icon and her world building class "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window.. That might appeal to you.

There are heaps of contests on the site that would encourage you to write and create though - a good one to start with is "The Writer's CrampOpen in new Window. which is a daily contest that encourages you to just write, not worrying so much about editing, but just getting the words down on paper (or screen!).

Anything I can help with, just ask, or there are friendly faces all around. *Smile* Enjoy your time here, and I am sure you'll come to love it just as much as we do.
