That first "this has a million and one problems" review is so difficult to take. Since we're reminiscing here... I believe that I got my first from Arwee and Satuawany on the same day (the joy of being a "WYRM" ).
I was totally gutted and embarrassed and angry and sad... all at once. They were kind about it, but it hurt like mad. I planted myself firmly in denial for a while, but in the end, the WYRMs helped me improve my writing more than anything or anyone since I was a teenager. The items they reviewed are private now (and will always remain so--- OMG), but trust me... been there.
I think the reviews that sting the most are also the most helpful. It's just how it goes. I'm not happy that I crushed you, but I'm very happy that I played my part in helping you hone your skills. Your work has advanced considerably. I am quite sure that you'll get that 5 star review sometime or other. I haven't reviewed you SIX months! I'll have to snoop through your port and see what you're working on these days.
