Noticing Newbies

Hello everybody! I go by Erica and it's really nice to meet everyone!

I actually am not a true newbie...Back when I was about 14 years old, I found Writing.com, started a profile and was quite active in the community for about 2 years. Since then I have graduated high school and gotten my associates in paralegal studies (but that wasn't really my passion...) and one day, while I was trying to figure out a way to both stay home with my children and make a living I stumbled across an old hobby of mine, which was writing. I now freelance and ghostwrite and I found writing.com again because I am looking to network and mingle with other like-minded writers! I feel fortunate to be able to write for a living and spend time with my children at the same time.

I'm surprised it actually hasn't changed too much around here, but it's good to be back! I learned a lot from this community before when I was here, and I can attribute much of what I know today and my success in writing to many of the members I knew back then. If you are truly new to writing.com, I am sure that you will love it here.

I hope I get to meet a lot of you and see how the community has grown!
