Noticing Newbies

Hello everyone.
I just joined WC so here is a bit about myself.

I started to write about twelve years ago but have been an avid reader since I the day I taught myself to read.
Soon after I discovered that a bad translation killed a perfect story, I started to read in English and, after some efforts in Dutch, found that writing in English felt more natural.
That's UK English so you're warned, those OUs are not typos!

Although my preferred staple is SF, I tried my hand at any genre (including erotica but excluding porn) and enjoyed them all.

At the moment I'm working on a vampire love story and an SF deep space story.
