I was messing around with book items yesterday, and found it taking a great deal longer than I imagined it would to upload the fifteen or so chapters I needed to upload. There was the option to drag and drop documents to create entries (which I ended up using), but it was still a pain...
It occurred to me that the document uploader probably converts document formatting to html, then replaces the relevant tags with WDC's ml. My full story documents are always formatted with headings as chapter titles, which would have the simple tag of <h1>.
So, the "wouldn't it be cool if..." is...
What if WDC broke documents at <h1> tags, and used the text within them to denote entry titles? It would make uploading larger works a great deal easier.
I'm not sure how well that plays with WDC's current coding, but I thought I'd mention it.
