I've got a lot of irons in the fire, as the saying goes. I'm pushing through the final proofread for my novel before self-publishing. I'd like to have the blurb finalized and give the cover-artist the green light to get prettifying it. I've also got the draft of my historical short story collection to finish (and I'm not far from finishing, I just have to work at it). I also had the muse hand me the first scene for my next project.
Lots going on, so my goal this week is to make a better use of the time I've been given rather than fret away all my valuable writing time with Facebook and other distractions. I won't be a hard-core drafter right away. I hate drafting. It's tedious, difficult, and my inner editor gets in the way frequently with unhelpful comments. I need to refocus on this: writing is putting words on a page, one at a time. That simple, that hard. Just do it and revise it after you have it completed.
