Mystical Meditations

I sleep the dream
seeing evil in me
waiting no longer
the powder hiding.

Pills in me unfold
the beauty to see
spirits flying high
inviting me home,

my mind confused
a glass in my hand
saluting their wine
poured in darkness.

One sip now forgotten
two too many for me
drowsy drifting there
knowing it to be a lie,

hail me magnificent
hail me dying inside
on the journey home
to meet my destiny.

Hiding away my love
bound and bonded
from the unknown
that cuts too deep,

flying away in the sky
searching for another
like me to die inside
not knowing why.

The desperate plea
of a mother weeping
in fear to scold me
a child screwed up,

dark to dream
lying awake
ashamed
to see,

my family arguing
when and how
my bipolar
the curse they see.

Embe is my father
who loves me dearly,
with comforting words
while waiting in hospital.
