The Originals - Symposium From Topic 1

Well, I've always looked forward to seeing how the numbers would go round to round. We only ever dropped an OPPS occasionally, and I was thinking it was going to be a heck of a dice roll for that golden quill.

But all it took to thin out the numbers and shore up the odds was the Symposium closing and me being a stubborn ass. Boom, we're down to EIGHT still in the running to become WDC's next... win a quill trophy.

All answers intrigued me. A ridiculous number of the eight are books I've not read, not even The Lord of the Rings.
