I assured you that I would not let things get out of hand, and that I would not let anyone be eliminated for the reason of not having an unlimited GP bank account. I also stated that I would not support excessive bids. I DID exactly what I said I would do.

Hello blogging friends

I must say putting this unofficial blogging fundraising challenge on has been a hoot for me, but it sure has been a handful to keep up with you all. The 'There's a Price on Your Head' event sort of went out of control and I think it's time to shut things down. We raised more GP in the first few hours than I expected to raise in the next three unofficial rounds, so thank you so very much to everyone for playing. I don't think (in fact I know) there will be no eliminations. After I've had a chance to do some accounting we'll figure out what to do if there is any outstanding funds to redistribute.

You all are amazing; I'm in awe.

Of course you know, now I'll have to think of another way to clean house and systematically eliminate all but one of you by the end of this month.

You emailed this prompt back to me and included a complaint about the prompt I wrote, WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN WRITE!

I've worked very hard to make this challenge fair and fun for everyone, and IT DOES BRING EVERYONE TOGETHER. I certainly don't appreciate your comments that suggest it isn't.

I take no pleasure in saying this, but if you don't think this contest is fun, fair, and unifying, then please go find another challenge to participate in.
