Biography addition What would you like to be called?
by A Non-Existent User
I am very much into communicating with others using a personal touch, even if it is only through a mask of sorts.

Could a dialogue box be added to either the Portfolio Heading or Bio Block asking:

What name, nickname, or alias would you like to known or addressed by?

Presently, some WDC members will sign their emails to me with a first name and I have tried to keep a list of first names matched to "user names" in My NotePad.

When no indication is given, I might use such as "Hi, Grum" in an email to BumbleGrum, using an user name or part of an user name. Or I might use "Hi, Celtic sea" when addressing "Murphyco", using the ever identifying preferred handle over the user name.

I would much rather use "Hi, Sarah" even if Sarah is a pen name (I love Nom de Plume *Laugh*) or pseudonym, when addressing a member than using a made up concoction.

I almost always go to a WDC member's port to try to find their WDC name if possible. It would be much easier if such was in their port heading or Bio Block.

Thanks for your consideration.

Yours,
-William
