Welcome to WdC! I also live in CT, have grown children, and am 52. Sounds like you are well on your way to developing as a writer by journaling. Is the class you're taking a writing class?

What kinds of creative writing are you interested in pursuing?

This site can be confusing, but don't get frustrated! Just jump right in and explore the site, take the time to review other people's submissions, and don't be shy about posting your efforts in your portfolio to share with us.
