Noticing Newbies

Well first of all, thanks for welcoming me 1UppyEar!

But also, thank you for your suggestions here, i'll be sure to check 'em out! A place to ask newbie questions seems wonderful!

In answer to your question, it's fantasy. Though I guess that seems simple enough an answer, it may be a bit anti-climatic. You see, as I'm sure is the case with many people, I've already had some ideas about the where and when of the novel, and the title is a direct reference to the Czech origins of many of the names in the book. I really liked that name when I first came up with it, and wanted to keep it. Of course, as you could see, I also believed that it sounded very science-fictiony, and while there will be some steampunk-ish ideas in the story, it's mostly middle-fantasy I think. As the I continue writing, I think the readers will eventually be able to make a connection!
