What a lovely intro It's nice to meet you.

I live in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, having moved from not-at-all-sunny Michigan 15 years ago. I love it here and would never move back. I have been to Seattle and love the vibe but determined I could not love the weather. You prove there are definitely people who love it, though Sounds like you found a wonderful place for you.

Like the old adage "sleep begets sleep" I think "writing begets writing." WDC is a great place to do that. I've been here a few months and I love it. I'm working on a novel - my first - and have gotten lots of great suggestions and feedback. Also, I've found that reviewing other people's work has helped me to improve my own writing. I'm not into entering contests myself, but the contests really are motivating for many people to write. There are daily prompts and picture prompts and lots of other great things going on that could spark your interest and break through writer's block. So I hope you explore around the site and find things that will help you meet your New Year's resolution!

Coding is not my thing, but my husband is a programmer. It's certainly a good job to get into My household was saddened when Miyazaki announced his retirement. I'm a sci-fi fan, though have expanded my reading into other types of fiction as well.
