Welcome to WDC! I hope that you'll find this is a very supportive community that will encourage and support you as you begin your journey. It may take a while - there are lots of writers here and a ton of reading to be done - but you'll get what you're looking for, I'm sure. There are tools - such as "Request a review" (found under Things to Do and Read - left side of the page) - which can promote your writing and certainly, there are other ways to draw attention to your work. Be patient.
