Noticing Newbies

The short answer to my title is, "I am Nikki, and it is nice to meet you." The long answer could take a novel. So... if you will forgive the rambling... let's see if I can find a middle ground for my explanation.

To my friends and family I am known as the "writing hermit." To those who have seen my work, I am known as a "baby-author." I am self-published with one book so far. I am currently drafting my second and third books for the Immortalis Saga. I am a perfectionist, but I know there is always room to learn and grow. Though I get older every day, I will never be an adult. I treasure my imagination, and I believe that dreams are what make a person great. Anyone who knows me knows I love to help whenever and wherever I can. I have been called "hard-headed" and "strong-willed," but to me, those are traits of my determination.

I write because I love to write. Would it be nice to be a bestselling author? Yes, but that is not my goal. My goal is to get my works out of my head, onto the page, and into the hands of people who will appreciate it. A good story is the only thing I really care about when it comes to my writing. I am proud of my work. Writing is my passion. I have also found that a good book can be the one thing standing between someone's stress taking over their lives, or allowing them the release necessary to continue.

Books have saved me. Being able to step into someone else's skin and walk in their life, that is probably the only thing that got me through my life.
