Noticing Newbies

Thank you for the warm welcomes, MissTique and Lornda! I'm a little anxious about posting stuff like full novels and things like that. How do most people around here go about posting things to keep other's from potentially stealing/passing around their writing? I'm not so worried about established members, but it seems like there isn't a filtering process to make sure people that are users here are all honest in that way and it makes me a little nervous. I know it might sound real newbish (I know that's not a word), but I've always been paranoid about my writing, so much so that I've only let a couple people read what I've written so far and that doesn't even include my own mother because she's a blabbermouth.
