But, seriously, I am a huge fan of having so much world building and history, but I am right with you on the plot and characters front. I'm building a world absolutely from scratch--not the one for NaNo, but a personal project--and I've got nothing on plot. I've got vague sketches of characters and their personalities, but jelling that together with the world and its history and religion and economy into some semblance of plot has been difficult. The world lends itself to something catastrophic...but I hesitate to do what my natural instinct is to do for fear that it is too much like what I do already.
I'll probably go with what's in my gut, though. That seems right.
So...yes. Characters and plot go hand in hand. I admit, I've always been a Game Master type; I create a world and throw my characters into it and see what happens. But yeah...
Glad all those Druids and Witches are coming together into an epic plot!
