Never forget Tolkien. Honestly, beyond even creating some of my favorite stories, Tolkien was one of the first fantasy writers to be accepted by the literary community. There's still a stigma against 'genre' writers, unfortunately, and Tolkien is one of the first to bridge that gap. And also...anyone who can create his own world and create his own languages deserves mad props.
