You're trying too hard... you don't have to come up with a plot yet. Just a character, a goal, and an obstacle. You have your character. You have a setting (high school.) So think about the kinds of goals that high school kids have, and in particular, the kind of goals a trans, non-binary high school kid might have. Then think about the obstacles they might face. Just off the top of my head, I know high school kids want to:
* pass the test
* pass the class
* be accepted in the group
* be accepted in the organized activity
* make the audition
* make the try-out
* get revenge on the bully
* avoid the bully
* be liked by the teacher
* be noticed
* be invisible
