Weekly Goals

All right, it is back to work time! last week I had planned to take off from the project for Long Ridge Writers Group. As I said in my last Update post- I did get some tweaks done.

This week, it's back to focus on it. And I still have a ways to go with edits and polishing.

The Primary Objective: Lesson 8 comes in 4 parts. My deadline is Oct. 15th. This week I plan to focus on Part 1 of the lesson- finishing the edits / revisions of the piece titled "Prelude".

This is chapter 1 of my break-in novel.

If there is time, once I've finished, I have options. ( It's nice to have options. )
I can move on to parts 2, 3, and / or 4. ( or save them for next week. )

Part 2- Magazine Choice Form:

~ select a publication from The Best of the Magazine Markets for Writers 2014
~ Fill out a Magazine Choice form.

Part 3- Cover Letter

~ Write a cover letter to introduce the story to an editor.

Letter to Instructor:

~ Write a letter to Tom with regard to the remaining 4 lessons. I need to tell him about the specific types of stories I'm interested in writing- character or plot driven, 1st or 3rd person, etc.

It is exciting! Finishing Lesson 8 will mark the completion of Part 2 of the course. There are only 4 more lessons to go! And I have decided that I will ask if I qualify for the college credit they offer for this program.

Another option is to work on more posts for Psionics Millennium: Return or one of the other literary RPG / fan-fic I'm involved with. I try to reserve this for the weekends but sometimes I just can't help myself.
