Depression, general anxiety, and Asperger's syndrome
I have had a problem with anxiety my whole life and have suffered on and off from depression for 14 years now. I am now almost 25 years old.
Two years ago I was also diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which is quite late for such a diagnosis. It took a long time for me to find someone who could tell me what was wrong with me; why I have always been different from other people.

These co-morbid conditions control almost every aspect of my daily life, however, Asperger's does have some advantages for me as a writer as I can "obsess" over my work. Obsessive fixation is one of the defining aspects of the syndrome.

Everyday is a further step on my journey of learning to use my "disadvantages" to my advantage.
