I have been trying to find the words for some time now to express what you mean to me. And all I keep coming up with is that you saved my writing life. Not that I would ever stop writing, but you gave me purpose, gave me validation, gave me what my friends and family did/could not do with my writing. And, unexpectedly, you gave me wonderful new friends and family. I don't know why 'unexpectedly', that just was.
I have logged on almost every day since I joined a year and a half ago, and that's pretty amazing in its own right. I usually start with a hiss and a roar at something and then trickle away. But you have me so hooked I sneak on at work every day and sometimes twice!
I feel like I am home when I log in, and my only regret is that I didn't find you years ago.
I love you, WDC, and my Muse and my characters salute you. Oh... and we also wish you the happiest birthday.
