My Mother was a WWII combat nurse. Ever since I used to read her WWII letters, I have always wanted to write. Two of her letters were quoted in the Wyatt Blassingame Book, World War II Nurses Around the world. When I was young, with a very troubled childhood, my school work was atrocious because I just didn’t care. By about age 24 I DID care. I went to a Jr. College after being laid off from a lucrative job, and got almost straight A’s. (that is not a brag) I was then called back to work. That was a wonderful time in my life, because everybody in College, unlike High school WANTED to be there! It just seemed like everybody had a smile on their face because their minds were expanding.
Anyway, I have about 40 essays, mostly film and pop culture reviews. Bottom line: I have almost no perspective on the quality of my work.
Anyway, for starters, I invite you all to review my film review of, “Now Is Good.”
Sincerely,
David Allen Smith – Call me Dave!
