Exactly! The ones that post unimportant stuff, I at least don't need to feel bad removing. There are lots who have contests and activities that I like, but I don't want to see them post about every single one of them PLUS personal stuff every day. Filters to say "Yes, send contest/blog stuff to my newsfeed," and "No, do not send raffle/auction stuff to my newsfeed" would be super nice, but it seems like that would be an unlikely scenario. People could choose "contest" or "new entry/item" or "writing" or "personal" and things like that for the topic of their posts just like the genre system. It would be cool, I think, to pick and choose what shows up in your personal newsfeed.
I'd totally settle for just being able to remove them from my favorites with a click-- or two clicks (one to their port, one to unfavorite). I just dug through my favorites to remove a bunch of people, and it's a pain in the bum!
